What we collect
Account information (email, phone, identity verification result), encrypted vault contents (which we cannot read), billing information processed by Stripe, and product telemetry necessary for the service (sign-in events, account changes).
What we do not collect
We do not collect the contents of your vault in readable form. We do not collect your passphrase. We do not collect your recovery phrase.
How we use what we collect
To operate your account, comply with the law, prevent fraud, and contact you about your plan. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Account records are kept for the duration of the account and for seven years after closure, for legal compliance. Encrypted vault contents are deleted on account closure, with a 30-day grace period for restoration. Backups are purged within 90 days of deletion.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, and delete your personal information. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to opt out of sale or sharing (which we do not engage in). Email privacy@livingwill.app to exercise your rights.
Third-party processors
Stripe (billing), Supabase (database), Cloudflare (CDN and DNS), Mux (video delivery), Anthropic (AI assistant, under a commercial Zero Data Retention agreement), Iron Mountain (encrypted escrow), Persona (identity verification), Proof.com (remote online notarization), Telnyx (SMS), and Resend (transactional email). Each processor has access only to the data necessary for its function.
Children
LivingWill is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
International users
LivingWill operates in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
